Yacht Insurance Account Handler

Capable, diligent, yacht insurance operative with a sense of fun for a new opportunity as yacht insurance account technician, handler, exec type role in support of growth and expansion plans. Must have client handling and broking (or underwriting) experience in the private and chartered yacht, motor yacht (and up to medium size) superyacht space.

Insurance qualifications or progress toward them preferred.

Broking & Administration Assistant

Do you know somebody who'd like to join our dynamic financial services team in Cambridge? With offices in Cambridge, London and New York, La Playa’s striking “Insurance with Intelligence” brand has placed it among the most respected specialist brokers in the UK, working in niche markets.

As a Broking & Administration Assistant you'll assist the broking teams across our offices in Cambridge, London and New York. This is a full time position, with key tasks including:

  • Production of invoice/credit notes/policy documents
  • Maintain up‑to‑date policy and client records
  • Process policy adjustments
  • Preparing client renewal documents
  • Preparing new business quotations
  • Liaising with insurers on claims and quotations

This role will be ideal for you if you are well organised, meticulous, enthusiastic and self-motivated.  You’re a resourceful lateral thinker, reliable, and a great juggler! You have excellent communication skills and feel at home online using social media. You’ll have a good grasp of the MS Office suite of applications. You enjoy working with people and are happy when working individually or as part of a team. You’re happy and motivated when working unsupervised, organising your time around the priorities in front of you.
